It’s crazy because from Thanksgiving till about my birthday, I bearly made it to the gym. I let a few weeks in a row get away from me, ok about a full month if I’m going to be completely honest. I was pretty consistent with it up till about Christmas. What’s crazy is I put on a bit of fat on my midsection, got a little chubby lol and could tell that my energy wasn’t the same due to not taking my supplements, not eating as healthy and sticking to my diet, not getting my cardio in, and I didn’t feel as strong today on the weights. Safe to say I didn’t feel anywhere close to my best self. Today was my first day back and it reminded me of the importance of a consistent exercise regiment not only physically but mentally and emotionally. I know a lot of us are going through it and there’s a lot of emotions, thoughts and feelings we’re dealing with. I hope I encourage you to just get active and take time out every week to get get better. If you feel like you fell off get right back on the wagon. Don’t get down on yourself, don’t allow those negative thoughts or feelings get ya, remember it’s very important how you talk to yourself. Take that step tomorrow, take it one day at a time, don’t judge yourself, go grocery shopping and start eating healthy again, get back on that grind. Life is full of ups and downs, sometimes we’re on, sometimes we’re off. It’s all about how we respond. For me it’s important that I get back on my shit and crush the goals that I have made for myself. It’s up to me to get it done. Yea I took some time off but guess what? I’m not going to let that set me back. I’m going back in stronger and better than I was before. It’s all about consistency. I might have a few set backs but I’m on the road to self improvement. It starts with my mental, physical and spiritual health. It’s a journey a process not a sprint but a marathon. So I’ll finish off by saying to all my friends, family loved ones out there stay motivated don’t wait, don’t worry about yesterday and know today is what matters. Pick yourself up and get back in the game.
